BIMTECH Hosts Orientation Programme For PGDM Online

Birla Institute of Management Scientific tests, these days organised an orientation programme for the 5th batch of PGDM On the net at the Centre for On-line Scientific tests (COOLS). The programme aims to equip college students with corporate expectations, conversation and digital competencies.

The orientation programme observed learners from unique parts of the region joining on the internet.  

Some of the dignitaries who presided over the occasion ended up Dr H Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH Prof Raj Sethuraman, Southern Methodist University Satish Jha, Entrepreneur Varun Garg, President – Learning Expertise, upGrad Parikshit Markanday, Main Partnership and Advancement Officer, TimesPro and Prof S S Dubey, Chairperson, COOLS, BIMTECH.

The orientation program was held at the Great India Place Mall, Noida, on 10th April and witnessed the presence of over 100 students. The overall objective of the program was to provide the students with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the BIMTECH online learning platform and the Online PGDM program.

The BIMTECH PGDM Online program is designed to deliver the same curriculum and course content as that of traditional campus courses. It is delivered through a specialized learning platform, which will help students understand the course topics more effectively. All course content is created by learned faculty members and will be delivered via lecture videos and video seminars, online assignments and discussions, live chat sessions, and other online activities.

The orientation program started off with a welcome speech by Prof. Amit Kapoor, Director, BIMTECH. He discussed the many benefits of BIMTECH’s online program and shared his enthusiasm for the students. He said that the goal of the program was to make education accessible to everyone and it was BIMTECH’s mission to bridge the digital divide and provide opportunities to all.

The program also saw presentations from faculty members who introduced the students to the online learning platform and its features. Topics covered included virtual classes, synchronous learning, and assessment policies. The lecturers also showcased their own knowledge and enriched the sessions with innovative teaching technologies. After the lecture, the students had the opportunity to interact with the lecturers and ask questions on the topics discussed.

The orientation was then followed by an interactive session with the alumni. The alumni, who had already completed the program, shared their insight and experiences of studying online at BIMTECH. Many students gained valuable insight and advice from their experiences. They also discussed the challenges and rewards of the Online PGDM program. This was followed by a discussion on career prospects and job opportunities available to Online PGDM students.

At the end of the program, Prof. Kapoor highlighted the importance of continuous learning and encouraged the students to remain creative and competitive. He thanked the students for attending the program and wished them all the best for their future.

Overall, the BIMTECH orientation program was an informative and enjoyable experience for all the students who attended. It helped them gain an insight into the online PGDM and enabled them to begin their journey in the virtual learning world.
