Resource link The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, has concluded placements for its Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2020, with a whopping average salary of Rs. 22.2 LPA.
A total of 172 students of the PGP class of 2020 were placed. Out of them, 73 received offers with international components and the highest international package clocking in at Rs. 1.07 crore. Among the domestic offers, the highest salary stood at Rs. 43.33 LPA. The institutes financial sector witnessed participation from firms such as Barclays, Goldman Sachs, ICICI, HSBC and Credit Suisse. Notable recruiters from consulting included McKinsey & Co, The Boston Consulting Group, AT Kearney and EY Parthenon.
It was revealed that the students who joined the batch of 2020 had experiences from varied sectors and diverse educational backgrounds. 45% of the batch comprised of engineers, 15% each of Chartered Accountants (CA) and Company Secretaries, as well as 11% of MBA/PGDBM holdees. Going by the figures, 35% of the batch was made up of female candidates, a silver lining in the current climate.
Apart from the mammoth placement figures, the institute is also proud to have achieved a 100% Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) placement for its batch 2020, with 40% taking up internships through the institute’s Campus Internship Program (CIP) and 60% doing it independently.
