Indian Institute Of Mass Communication Hosts Alumni Meet

The Indian Institute of Mass Conversation Alumni Association (IIMCAA) organised its 11th yearly alumni meet – Connections 2023 – on Sunday, 26 February 2023, at its New Delhi headquarters. The 7th IFFCO IIMCAA Awards winners have been introduced throughout the function. Prof Sanjay Dwivedi, Director-Normal, IIMC, awarded the cheque and trophies to the winners and felicitated winners at the annually get-with each other.
The party begun with the Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan of Urdu Poets Waseem Barelvi, Aqeel Nomani and Rana Yashwant. In the 2nd session, the Golden Jubilee batch (1972-73) and Silver Jubilee batch (1997-98) alumni were felicitated.
The winners of the IFFCO IIMCAA Awards were being felicitated in the third session of the event. Odisha’s litterateur Dr Gayatribala Panda acquired the ‘Alumni of the Year’ award. ‘Public Services Award’ went to Sushil Singh, Amit Katoch, Pee Lee Ete and Pankaj Chandra Goswami.

Supply connection The Indian Institute of Mass Communication hosted a two-day alumni meet at its New Delhi campus recently. The alumni meet, which was inaugurated by Mr. M.K. Razdan, Director General of the Institute, was attended by hundreds of former students who had studied and graduated from different courses offered by the Institute.
The alumni reconnected with their alma mater and shared their experiences with each other. Some of the alumni traced back the memories of the lectures and interactions they had at the institute which empowered them to pursue and achieve success in the media industry. They not only shared their professional and personal growth stories but also interacted with the current students who were keen to learn from their experiences.Several discussions related to the various courses and programmes, career opportunities and challenges in the media industry and digital evolution witnessed at present were also organized during the meet.
The alumni, who are now professionals in their respective fields, also discussed about the strengths of the institute and the need for further grooming the students, who are equipped with the latest technologies. They shared valuable suggestions to enrich the curriculum and enhance the course structure offered at the institute.
The alumni meet was highly successful and mutually beneficial for both the alumni and the institute. It also gave a chance for the students to understand the scope for their future in the world of media. The institute is thankful to its alumni for taking out time from their busy schedule and attending the meet.
