Sharda College, in collaboration with the Export Advertising Industrial Park (EPIP), the Welfare Affiliation has set up a Ability Improvement Centre at the EPIP, Greater Noida, to foster field-academia collaboration and establish a objective-oriented engagement with the sector.
The Sharda University EPIP Welfare Association Skill Improvement Centre was inaugurated on 22 February 2023. The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, noted that the Centre is part of a larger initiative by the university to create industry-relevant, graduate-level training and education programmes in the area of export-oriented higher education.
“Our core objective behind the initiative is to inculcate the latest concepts and ideas from the industry into the curricula. This will provide our students with the necessary skills and understanding to better engage in the global marketplace and become competent professionals in the field of international business,” he said.
The Centre has already tied up with a number of industries and organisations to provide exposure to industry and real-life working conditions to the students.
The Centre’s mandate is to provide hands-on training to students in the domain of export management and finance, product development, export procedure, market access, and logistics and supply chain management. Additionally, the Centre is focused on creating a platform for students to interact and collaborate with professionals in similar industries and upskill.
The opening of the Skill Development Centre marks an important milestone in Sharda University’s commitment to create a talent pool of skilled professionals in the export-oriented sector. With this state-of-the-art Centre, the University seeks to provide students with an impetus for high-quality capacity-building and further establish its credentials as one of India’s leading educational institutions.
